I’ll admit that this might seem a strange place for an editorial caveat, but hey, it’s my blog and I’ll do what I want.
I read a lot. No, seriously…A LOT, and much of that reading is on the suject of guns, outdoorsy-type stuff, antique weapons, the military and a whole host of other subjects. My point in saying this is that whatever I might write on this thing I’ve chosen as my outlet for expression, I want to reinforce the fact that there is “nothing new under the sun.”
Originality is nothing more than each person’s unique perspective on a given experience, and their individual way of expressing it, so in that sense, I believe I’m making a fresh start on topics that have been discussed elsewhere. “Your mileage may vary,” and all that.
I’m always open to suggestions and comments, as long as we can keep things civil and aboveboard. I’ve left comments open here for that reason, however, I don’t have time for, and am not really interested in the hysterical, snarling I see on the rest of “social media.” This ain’t the place for it.
An environment full of friendly discussion and technical information is what I’m attempting to foster here, and I hope it takes off. To that end, I will do my best to provide as much value as I can in terms of entertaining and informative commentary as things move forward.
